The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Isolo General Hospital, Lagos, Dr Aderade Ijogun, has retired after 32 years in public service.

Ijogun’s retirement was commemorated with a celebration held within the premises of the hospital on Thursday.

Speaking at the event, the Chairman, Health Service Commission, Dr Atinuke Onayiga, commended Ijogun for her achievements whilst in service, especially at the Isolo General Hospital.

She said: β€œIt is difficult to collate what she has done over 30 years. She came into this hospital about a year and a half ago and the kind of things that she has done need to be continued. She has gone through various hospitals before coming here and they are all here to celebrate her.

β€œI thank all of them for cooperating with her to enable her to showcase her potential. We have all heard about the Pull Him/Her Down syndrome, those who pull people down, will never even let you achieve what you are supposed to achieve. I’m thanking every one of you for cooperating with her.”

In his welcome address, the Chairman, Organising Committee for the event, Egwuelu Nduka, also hailed Ijogun for the work she did at her last place of assignment.
