4th Edition of Hon. Gbenga Eleduma Unity Cup, Held in Owo Township Stadium

It was a moment of celebration and excitement for Owo Youths and all sport lovers across the constituency as Hon. Gbenga Eleduma Cup comes to an end on 26th, November, 2023 with the Final Match between Real Ifon FC and Emalex FC. And the third place match between All Stars FC and Otepete FC

Real Ifon FC defeated Emalex FC to win the golden Cup with a cash price of 500k and a brand new set of jersey

Emalex FC also went home with a cash price of 200k with a set of jersey.

While Al Stars FC defeated Otapete FC in the Third place match to claim the third position with a cash prize of 100k.

The Competition was registered by 20 teams from all communities in Owo/Ose axis.

After the preliminary stages which recorded display of talents by young and energetic players, 12 teams were eliminated and 8 teams qualified into Quarter final stage.

The 8 teams battled for a place in semi-final stage with a very entertaining display of football skills.

Four teams qualified into Semi-final stage (Emalex FC, Real Ifon FC, All Stars FC and Otapete)

The semi-final matches were played and Emalex FC and Real Ifon FC emerged as the Finalist.

The final ceremony was graced by our traditional rulers, Olupeme of Upenme land and Oniyere of Iyere land and other eminent personalities.

In the effort of adding value to the lives of people in his community most especially, the Youths, Hon. Gbenga Eleduma in his kindheartedness decided to engage the Youths in sport program as a way of discovering talents and deviating them from crimes and all social vices behavior.

Hon. Gbenga Eleduma is a community developer and he has demonstrated an uncommon value in contributing to human capital development.

He is a philanthropist and an astute personality of repute.
