The National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) says its vehicles have commenced the 50 percent slash in inter-state transport fares for Nigerians travelling during this Yuletide.

The Nation reports that President Tinubu on Wednesday, December 20, approved a 50% rebate for inter-state travels and 100% for train travels for Nigerians wishing to embark on travels to other parts of the country for the Christmas and New Year

This was contained in a statement by the NURTW, Oshodi branch on Friday, December 22.
