Officers attached to Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of Lagos State Police Command have arrested four suspected traffic robbers at Ojota, Lagos on Sunday, 24 December 2023.

Benjamin Hundeyin, spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, in a statement, said the suspects were arrested after victims alerted RRS bike riders on patrol at MKO Abiola Garden, Ojota, Lagos.

Hundeyin revealed that items recovered from the suspects, who were arrested at about 7:30 pm, included three Android phones and an ATM card.

The suspects are Wasiu Olawale (23) an ex-convict, who was released in May 2023; Adebayo Olatunbosun (20); Wale John (28), and Uche Ugwu (25), the gang leader.

Hundeyin disclosed that five victims had been reported at RRS headquarters where they had positively identified the suspects.

Meanwhile, the police spokesman said the suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigations were completed.
