A truck has once again damaged a height barrier at Ojuelegba in Lagos State on Saturday.

This was revealed in a post on X by the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority on Saturday.

The post reads: “The Ojuelegba Bridge barrier has been destroyed by another truck. Men are on ground for evacuation.”

PUNCH reports that on October 3 and 8, a containerised truck and a trailer respectively destroyed height restriction barriers at Ojuelegba in Lagos State.

An empty tanker was also reported to  have destroyed a newly constructed truck barrier at the tip of Dormanlong Bridge inward Ojuelegba on Christmas eve.

In a statement by the Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, on December 23, the Lagos State government vowed to prosecute drivers who destroy truck barriers mounted in various locations of the state.
