Lagos State governor, Babajide Samwo-Olu, has felicitated with Muslim fellows as Ramadan commences.

Sanwo-Olu via his X handle on Monday, March 11, said the Ramadan period was a time for deep reflection, prayer, and pursuit of spiritual growth, urging Muslim faithful to also feast on kindness, charity, and love for one another as they fast from dawn to dusk.

He wrote: “I want to extend my heartfelt greetings to the Muslim community in Lagos as we embark on the blessed month of Ramadan.

“This sacred time is a testament to the strength, patience, and perseverance that defines our collective faith. It is a period for deep reflection, prayer, and the pursuit of spiritual growth.

“As we fast from dawn to dusk, let us also feast on kindness, charity, and love for one another. Ramadan offers us a unique opportunity to strengthen our bonds as a community, to reach out to those in need, and to share the blessings we have been given.

“To every member of the Muslim community in Lagos, I wish you Ramadan Kareem. Together, let us pray for the wellbeing of our state, our nation, and the entire world.

“Peace and blessings be upon you all.”
