The Nigerian President, Bola Tinubu, has unveiled 30 hybrid Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses at the State House on Monday.

The innovation marks a significant milestone towards a sustainable transportation system in the country.

The eco-friendly fleet was presented by the Depots and Petroleum Products Marketers Association of Nigeria (DAPPMAN).

β€œIf we can enhance our energy competitiveness and bring about statehouse digital transformative changes like this, we would definitely be able to achieve the prosperity that we are working hard to accomplish for our people,” he said at the event.

He added, β€œThese CNG buses are promising and will enhance our transportation system”

The introduction of CNG buses marks a crucial step in reducing Nigeria’s carbon footprint and promoting environmentally friendly transportation solutions.

This initiative aligns with the government’s efforts to combat climate change and ensure a healthier environment for citizens.

The unveiling of the CNG buses at the State House signifies a major stride towards a greener, more sustainable Nigeria.
