Two Nigerians Arrested in Haiti for impersonating Haitian citizens

Haitian authorities have arrested two Nigerian nationals, Madukanze Kenneth, 31, and Henry Peter, 29, for allegedly falsifying documents to obtain Haitian nationality.

This was revealed by the South East Police Department in Haiti on social media, nailing that the police will continue to ensure the safety of it people.

iciHaiti report that the suspects were found with fake Haitian National Identification Cards.

According to the Haiti National Police, the suspects, identified as Emmanuel Okoro (32) with an ID card bearing the name β€œAugustin Jerry,” while Peter’s card was under the name β€œJunior Jean Pierre.”

Authorities believe the Nigerians aimed to exploit Haiti’s citizenship laws for personal gain.

The two suspectshas been taken into custody in Jacmel, Haiti for further investigation.
