The decision by the Federal Government to decentralize the Nigeria College of Aviation Technology (NCAT) in Zaria, spreading it across six geopolitical zones.

January 23, 2025 1 min read

According to Festus Keyamo, the main challenge facing NCAT is the lack of adequate accommodation for students, which has forced the government to purchase hotel spaces in Zaria to address this issue.

Keyamo emphasized that decentralizing NCAT will not only solve the accommodation problem but also provide opportunities for other regions to benefit from the institution.

This move is expected to promote balanced development and unity across the country.

The decentralization plan involves establishing NCAT campuses in six locations: Akure (Southwest), Osubi (South-South), Ebonyi (Southeast), Ilorin (North Central), Yola (North-East), and Zaria (North-West).
