The Yoruba Nation Global Directorate (YNGD), has submitted petitions to Amnesty International and the United Nations Human Rights Council, seeking immediate intervention in the ongoing violence, displacement, and destruction inflicted on Yoruba people by armed Fulani terrorists.

This marks the second time the YNGD has approached these international human rights institutions in recent years.

According to Princess Adeola Atayero Olamijulo, Director of YNGD, “This is not a new crisis. We warned the world years ago. Now, the pattern has become clearer and deadlier. What we are witnessing is a sustained campaign of ethnic cleansing and terror, and we demand that the world pays attention.”

Recent attacks in 2025, including the Ajegunle power line massacre in Akure North and the invasion of multiple communities in Ondo State, have resulted in numerous deaths and mass displacements.

The YNGD alleges that Fulani terrorist camps have been established in every Yoruba-speaking state, including Ondo, Ekiti, Oyo, Osun, Ogun, Lagos, and parts of Kwara, Kogi, and Edo States.

The petition calls for immediate Investigations, dismantling terrorist camps, jstice for perpetrators of killings, kidnappings, land invasions and protective measures to safeguard Yoruba lives, land, and heritage

Chief Kolapo Ajibade, a respected community leader from Oke Ogun, emphasized, “Our farmers are being hunted down. Our women are living in fear. What is happening is not random crime. It is systematic violence. It is targeted. It is organized.

“If the world cannot recognize this as a crisis of justice, then we are truly alone.”

The Yoruba Nation Global Directorate remains committed to justice, peace, and self-determination through lawful international mechanisms.
