Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde and his wife, Ominini, were conferred with the chieftaincy titles of Aare Omoluabi and Yeye Aare Omoluabi of Akure Kingdom.

The titles were bestowed upon them by Oba (Dr.) Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, the Deji of Akure Kingdom.

This ceremony was a significant part of the ongoing festivities marking the Deji’s 10th anniversary as the monarch of Akure Kingdom.

In a statement shared on X, Governor Makinde expressed gratitude for the honor. He stated that he and his wife deeply appreciate the titles conferred by the Deji and pledged their commitment to contributing to the development of Akure Kingdom.

Makinde wished for the Deji’s reign to be long, peaceful, and prosperous.

The conferment of these titles highlights the connection between the Oyo State government and the traditional institutions of Akure Kingdom.
