African Games 2023: Nigeria, South Africa, Algeria in Fierce Contest for Second Position

Nigeria, South Africa and Algeria are currently in a tough battle for second position at the on-going 13th African Games in Accra, Ghana.

According to the official medals table released on Tuesday morning (today) by the organisers, Nigeria currently occupy second position with 27 gold, 21 silver and 30 bronze medals.

South Africa are close in third position with 26 gold, 29 silver and 38 bronze medals.

Algeria are not far behind in fourth position with 22 gold, 31 silver and 37 bronze medals.

The three countries are expected to continue their fight for supremacy in different events today.

Team Egypt are far off at the top of the log with 91 gold, 36 silver and 31 bronze medals.
