The Wife of the Ondo State Governor, Mrs Betty Akeredolu has suspended all activities lined up for her 70th birthday celebration.

She has recently been criticised by some indigenes and groups in Ondo State that she should have forgotten any celebration amidst the ill health of her husband, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu.

Many others have, however, insisted that she deserved to be celebrated on her birthday irrespective of any situation.

In a twitter post this morning, she suspended the birthday celebration indefinitely without giving any reason, but she twitted that “As long as there is life, “owambe” (party) can come anytime!”

“Hello Family and Friends.

This is to inform you that all activities lined up to mark my 70th birthday are hereby suspended till further notice due to unforeseen circumstances beyond my control. Sorry for any inconvenience caused by this development.

As long as there is life, “owambe” (party) can come anytime”, she stated.
