Ekiti Election: Oyebanji Lauds EKSIEC Over Transparent Process

Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, fulfilled his civic duty by casting his vote at Unit 03, Oyebanji Compound Okelele, Ward 06, Ikogosi in Ekameta LCDA.

Addressing the electorate, the governor emphasized the mandatory obligation for eligible voters to come out en masse and exercise their franchise.

Governor Oyebanji, who lauded the transparent process, described the election as free and fair based on the peaceful reports received.

He assured the public that neither individuals nor political parties had faced intimidation, contributing to the overall peaceful atmosphere.

Commending the Ekiti State Independent Electoral Commission (EKSIEC) for their transparent conduct, the governor urged citizens to actively participate in the exercise while maintaining peace during the voting process.

Hon. Awe, the State Commissioner for Rural and Community Development, shared a similar view while at his polling unit in Ilumoba Ekiti, Ward 9. He characterized the exercise as peaceful and commended the professionalism of the security operatives.

Also one of the aspirant for the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Olatokunbo Obayemi Gbadamosi from Ado North LCDA while casting her vote in Ado Ekiti charged the public to maintain peace and come out to perform their civic responsibility

The on-going election in Ekiti covers the 16 local government areas (LGAs) and 22 local council development areas (LCDAs).

The structured timeline for the elections is set between 8:00am and 4:00 pm in the evening.
