Ladipo Market on Fire!

A section of the Ladipo market used by Plank sellers have been gutted by fire.

Speaking on the fire incident, Permanent Secretary of LASEMA, Dr Femi Oke-Osanyitolu said there was no human casualty.

The Fire broke out in the early hours of Wednesday at the Ladipo Plank Market in Lagos, resulting in destruction of goods and property.

As of 6:00 am, emergency responders, including the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority LASEMA), Lagos State Fire Service, and the Federal Fire Service, were at the scene to stop the fire.

Speaking on the incident, Permanent Secretary of LASEMA, Dr Femi Oke-Osanyitolu said there was no human casualty.

Oke-Osanyitolu said, β€œThe agency responded to distress calls and arrived at the above scene of the incident to discover that the plank market was being gutted by fire.

β€œFortunately, there is no loss of life. However, goods and property yet to be enumerated have been destroyed due to the inferno.”
