NIDCOM Boss Visits Rescued Nigerian Girls in Ghana

The Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has paid a visit to the 10 Nigerian girls trafficked to Ghana under the guise of “sales girls”, for prostitution.

She disclosed the visit in a video shared on her X handle on Monday, June 10.

Dabiri-Erewa, while addressing the girls said: “We must declare a war against human trafficking.

“Nigeria cares for you. President Bola Tinubu is so happy that this happening and you can count on all the support. The most important thing is that traffickers have to be stopped. You didn’t come here to do prostitution, they told you you were going to do sales girl, and they lied to you, so you’re not guilty of anything.

“I want to see you in a few years say ‘Honourable do you remember me, now, I’m the governor of Imo State’.”

On Friday, some videos surfaced on X showing 10 teenage girls trafficked to Ghana for prostitution.

The girls, who were between the ages of 15 and 18, were intercepted by the Nigerians in the Diaspora Organisation (NIDO) in Ghana.
