A young Nigerian man has expressed regret for not supporting President Bola Tinubu during the 2023 general elections in a viral video.

He apologized for backing the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, instead.

The man, identified as Okezie, stated that President Tinubu has demonstrated his ability to improve Nigeria. He pledged to vote for Tinubu in the 2027 election to avoid repeating his mistake.

Okezie apologized to Nigerians for his initial lack of support, saying, “I want to apologize to every Nigerian, I’m sorry I supported Peter Obi during the last presidential election.”

He acknowledged President Tinubu’s progress, stating, “I knew where we were when you came in as president and where we are now.”

Okezie also thanked President Tinubu, saying, “Thank you, for we Nigerians today, we’re speaking one language, we now understand what it means to have a credible leader as a president.”
