Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Police Command in Lagos State, have arrested three suspected vandals in the Tom Jones area of the state, and recovered a mini-bus, two carts and bridge railings

The commandโ€™s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest in a statement on Tuesday in Lagos.

He said that the suspects were arrested at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday during RRS operativesโ€™ routine patrol of the area.

โ€œThe suspects fled and abandoned a Suzuki mini-bus popularly called โ€˜Koropeโ€™ with registration number BDG 315 YA upon sighting the police.

โ€œAlso left behind by the suspected vandals were two carts, bars of aluminum railings suspected to have been cut from the Third Mainland Bridge, a hammer and a hand saw,โ€ he said.

According to the police image maker in the state, the arrests came on the heels of other recent and similar ones made by the CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi-led RRS operatives.

He said that the suspects had been charged to court.
